The Korah Colts captured the senior high school football title on Friday night.
The Colts beat the St. Mary’s Knights 42-13 at Superior Heights to win the city title and earn a spot in the Northern Ontario Secondary School Athletics (NOSSA) semifinal in November.
The Colts will face Sudbury’s city champ on Nov. 9 in the Sault.
On Friday night, Nathan Guizzetti had six touchdowns for the Colts en route to the win.
Guizzetti scored on runs of 95, 90, 70, 61, seven, and four yards for the Colts on a day in which he ran for a total of 256 yards on 16 carries and added five tackles defensively.
Ty Koski kicked four converts for Korah while Nathan Higham had a two-point convert to cap off the Korah scoring.
Aiden Wonch also had five tackles defensively for Korah.
St. Mary’s quarterback Matti Tucker ran the ball 10 times for 42 yards for the Knights, including a one-yard touchdown run. Tucker added 67 yards passing and a 20-yard touchdown pass to Jack McPherson for St. Mary’s.
Micah Cuglietta hit a point after for St. Mary’s.
Defensively, Kiran Juma had eight tackles and blocked a pair of kicks for the Knights.
