Charity auction set to begin

The Marty Turco Charity Golf Classic Auction is set begin on Wednesday night in Sault Ste. Marie.

Local sports fans will be able to participate in Wednesday night's auction for sports memorabilia at the Best Western on Great Northern Road.

Tickets for the auction are $10 for adults while children under 16 are admitted free when accompanied by an adult.

Some of the auction items include Marty Turco goalie sticks, a Joe Thornton jersey, a Joe Thornton print, a Derrian Hatcher Jersey and a Western All Star signed jersey.

Also included is a Marty Turco jersey, a Jonathon Chechoo stick, a Dave Hannan stick, a Brendan Morrison Vancouver jersey, a Tony Esposito stick, and a pair of Red tickets at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto for the Russia versus Canada World Cup game on September 4th.

Included in the list of activities is a golf event that has long been filled at Crimson Ridge on Thursday.

Although the flights are full for the golf portion, fans are invited out to Crimson Ridge to watch their favourite stars in action.
