CASS sends 14 to NOSSA badminton

The North Shore Secondary School Athletic Association (NSSSAA) held their Badminton Championships today in Blind River. The CASS Huskies won their third consecutive NSSSAA Championship defeating Elliot Lake by two points.

The North Shore Secondary School Athletic Association (NSSSAA) held their Badminton Championships today in Blind River.

The CASS Huskies won their third consecutive NSSSAA Championship defeating Elliot Lake by two points. A total of 9 schools competed in the event. CASS will now send 14 athletes to the NOSSA Championships in Sudbury April 20 & 21.

First place finishers were: Seth Whitley & Shelby Bucknell- Jr. Mixed, Sammy Jo Evoy and Shannon McLean- Sr. Ladies Doubles.

Second place went to: Denver MacFarlane & Jenn Payment - Midget Mixed, Josh MacFarlane & Stephen Lajambe in Jr. Mens Doubles, Hailey Summers & Marabeth Mills- Jr. Ladies Doubles, David Lambright & Shelby Valiquette - Jr. Mixed and Brook Moreau & Micaela Gilbertson- Sr. Mixed.
