Local golfer Mike Caputo came within strokes of qualifying for Team Canada.
At the Canadian Golf Association Euro Junior Golf Cup qualifier in Belleville last weekend, the 16 year-old Caputo finished second, four points behind winner Mark Hoffman of Thornhill.
The competition featured a field of 65 golfers from Ontario.
Hoffman earns a spot on the Canadian team with the win and will travel to the Euro Junior Golf Cup this summer in Scotland.
