The Soo Bantam Greyhounds saw their season come to a disappointing end on Saturday at the Ontario Bantam AAA Hockey Championships in Thunder Bay.

In the bronze medal game of the tournament, the Greyhounds were blanked 4-0 by the London Jr. Knights to settle the locals into a fourth place finish in the seven-team field.

The loss in the tournament could not overshadow a fabulous season of hockey played by the local bantam major reps, shown celebrating their Steel City Tournament win.

During the Northern Ontario Bantam Hockey League season, the Greyhounds dominated competition by setting 17 new regular season records and cruising to the league's regular season and playoff championships.

In Thunder Bay, the Greyhounds compiled a 4-2 record during the round robin before falling 3-0 to the eventual champion Toronto Jr. Canadiens in the semi-finals on Friday.

Toronto defeated the Markham Waxers 4-2 in the gold medal game.
