ALL IN A HOCKEY FAMILY

Joey Biasucci won't be the only Ontario Hockey Leaguer to play for a team owned by his father this season. In London, Dale Hunter is co-owner/head coach of the Knights. And not only did Hunter's son Dylan play for him last season, so did nephews Logan Hunter and Rick Steadman. All will be back with the Knights this season and are coming off decent campaigns. In Sault Ste. Marie, Biasucci and his co-owner father, Sam, are already on a hot seat constructed by a few naysaying fans and one member of media. The 18-year old goalie was obtained by the Hounds in a recent trade with the Brampton Battalion. And predictably, some narrow-minded fans and an equally close-minded member of the Sault media are all over the trade without even giving it a chance to work. To be sure, the family situation in London seems to have worked out well with Dale Hunter coaching his son and two nephews - in addition to owning the team with his brother, Mark. "There have been no problems to speak of with Dale coaching his son and nephews," long-time Knights' trainer Don Brankley has told members of the London media. "The players on our team accept Dylan, Logan and Rick. Dale has been very fair and has made what could be a sticky situation work."
