The doors are open to the public for a New Democratic Party-hosted meeting next week to discuss policies and more ahead of the provincial convention.

The Sault Ste. Marie Provincial NDP riding association is holding the gathering on Monday, Oct. 28, and it will aim to "foster dialogue around key policy issues, focusing on energy generation in Ontario and essential supports for homeless individuals," says a news release.

It takes place at 6:45 p.m. at the Northern Community Centre, Room C (556 Goulais Ave).

The assembly is an opportunity for people to share their thoughts and take part in "shaping the future of our province," says the release. The public is invited, though only individuals with valid NDP memberships will be able to vote on policy recommendations.
