One of the most exciting things about the weather and trying to predict it is the various extremes we have in Canada. However, this summer, it feels like Mother Nature put Northern Ontario's weather pattern on autopilot and shows no sign of changing it.

The summer of 2024 weather recipe is easy to follow. Two parts sun and one part rain, and that's it. For those who want a bit of spice now and then, you can sprinkle in a few strong thunderstorms for additional flavour. The weather for the workweek ahead follows this recipe perfectly.

Clouds will build back into the region Tuesday morning, and scattered showers are possible in the afternoon as daytime highs reach 22°C. More widespread rain is likely overnight.

The rain should end Wednesday morning and give way to some afternoon sun and temperatures near 25°C.

Sunshine returns for all of Thursday with daytime highs of 26°C. Cloud cover returns on Friday, along with scattered afternoon thunderstorms as afternoon temperatures reach 24°C.

For this coming weekend, you guessed it, a couple more parts of sunshine with a bit of rain.
