High pressure builds into the Great Lakes region, bringing sunshine for most of this shortened workweek without risk of rain (or snow). As the high pressure moves east, it will allow for a southerly flow that brings warmer-than-normal air into the Sault region. By the end of the week, we will see temperatures 5-10 degrees above normal for mid-October.
Monday brings a mix of sun and cloud with daytime highs of 9°C. Gusty north winds will make it feel more like 5°C. Sunshine returns Tuesday, with temperatures climbing to 12°C in the afternoon.
Sunny skies continue into Thursday and Friday, with a southerly wind that helps push daytime highs to 17°C and 18°C.
We could see a few clouds move in this weekend, but temperatures remain in the mid to upper teens and well above normal.
