Workweek Outlook: Quiet weather ahead of a storm?

As the high moves east, it will allow for a southerly flow that will bring warmer air into the Sault region at the end of this work week. However, anyone travelling later this weekend should keep an eye on the forecast this week, as a potential winter storm looms late in the forecast.

Monday brings mostly sunny skies, but morning lows below -10°C will mean daytime highs will only have time to rise near freezing.

A mix of sun and clouds moves in for Tuesday, with afternoon temperatures near -1°C. Wednesday brings mostly cloudy skies, with daytime highs back up to +1°C. A chance of flurries arrives in the evening.

The warm air moves in for Thursday and Friday as temperatures climb to near +5°C. There is the risk of a significant winter storm at the end of this coming weekend.
