The week ahead will be victim to where the wind blows. Cool winds briefly drop temperatures early in the week, only to give way to warmer air on a wind shift that also brings snow towards the end of the week. Overall, temperatures will be close to what we'd normally expect for early February.

Monday will be cloudy, with an afternoon temperature of -2°C, which will feel more like -10°C with gusty northwesterly winds.

Tuesday becomes mainly sunny, but a cold northerly wind will drive daytime highs down to -8°C and windchill values in the minus teens.

Wednesday will be partly cloudy, with temperatures warming up to -4°C in the afternoon.

Snow moves back into the Sault region on Thursday with another 8-12cm possible and daytime highs of -1°C.

The snow should end early Friday morning, and then a cold northwest wind will drop afternoon temperatures to -4°C.
