Woman on Laura Street wakes to unknown male in her bedroom

On August 6th at 12:30 a.m., a female on Laura Street was woken up when an unknown male walked into her bedroom.

The male grabbed a purse and Roots bag and fled on foot.

The female called 911 and the K9 unit was dispatched to the area with patrol officers setting up containment.

Officers were able to locate the 17 year old accused and arrest him for the break in.

The accused has been charged with break enter and theft and for breaching his bail recognizance for failing to obey his curfew.

The accused appeared in weekend bail court.
