Through the first two months of 2024, passenger levels as the Sault Ste. Marie Airport are down overall.

The airport saw 11,519 passengers pass through the airport last month, down from 12,718 in February 2023.

The drop was expected after Sunwing Airlines chose to cancel its vacation-destination flights from the Sault.

Overall in 2024, 22,579 passengers made their way through, which is down from 24,457 through the opening two months of 2023.
