Weather advisory in effect for:
  • Sault Ste. Marie - St. Joseph Island

Winter weather travel advisory in effect for late this afternoon and evening.

Brief periods of heavy snow and reduced visibility are expected late this afternoon into early evening as a cold front moves through the area then lake effect flurries sweep through the region. Snowfall accumulations of 5 to 10 cm are possible.

Snow at times heavy could make travel hazardous due to reduced visibilities. Be prepared for quickly changing road conditions.

Winter weather travel advisory in effect for this afternoon and early evening.

Brief periods of heavy snow and reduced visibility continue as a cold front moves through the area. Additional snowfall accumulations of 5 to 10 cm are possible by this evening.

Snow at times heavy will make travel hazardous due to reduced visibilities. Consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve.

Extreme Cold Warning in effect for:

  • White River - Dubreuilville

Wind chill values of minus 40 are expected overnight into Wednesday morning.

Extreme cold puts everyone at risk.

Watch for cold-related symptoms: shortness of breath, chest pain, muscle pain and weakness, numbness and colour change in fingers and toes.

Cover up. Frostbite can develop within minutes on exposed skin, especially with wind chill.
