*********************** (White River, Ontario) - Shortly after 11 p.m. on the December 27, Superior East OPP White River were called to investigate damage to two Christmas yard ornaments on Winnipeg Street in the town of White River.

The first was a large Winnie the Pooh ornament and the second was a snowman.

It appeared that they had been cut with a knife and are now rendered useless.

These senseless acts of vandalism are presently still under investigation and the police are requesting anyone with information on these crimes to contact their local Superior East OPP Detachment or contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.

*********************** (Chapleau, Ontario) - Sometime during the hours of 2 a.m. and 5 a.m. on December 27, unknown persons attended the front yard of a residence on King Street in Chapleau.

At this time the suspects broke a plastic candy cane ornament off a railing and used it to break the front hard plastic of a 6-foot snow globe.

The snow globe is destroyed and unusable.

These ornaments are the popular hot-air balloon type that many residences now sport on their front yards.
