A loyal SooToday.com reader sent us some photos she took of the damage to a transport that collided with a moose on Saturday night just below the Mile Hill.
Our reader thought readers might see what damage a moose could do to a vehicle.
"The transport was below Mile Hill, near Goulais River," she says. "The moose was halfway down the hill heading north."
She took the pictures on her way to town in the morning.
Police reported that the tractor-trailer was "disabled" and a moose killed by the 10 p.m. crash.
The transport was northbound on Highway 17 nearing the bottom of the Mile Hill when it struck the moose.
The driver was able to get the rig off the roadway and into a snowplow turnaround.
The truck had to be towed from the scene.
The driver wasn't injured.
