Notice something different?
Of course you do.
SooToday has a brand new look.
And it’s not just a new look. The new site is a custom in-house design by Village Media in partnership with Sault Ste. Marie’s Lucidia developed from the ground up, to be faster, more responsive and work on all your devices just the way it is supposed to.
Of course we haven’t changed what has made SooToday Sault Ste. Marie’s most popular news and information source.
Our team of writers, photographers and videographers continue to work hard to fill SooToday’s news feed with stories on the issues you want covered.
The main Local News feed has always been at the heart of SooToday and it’s just where it has always been - front and centre on the landing page.
On the main landing page you’ll also find Local News, Local Sports, Local Entertainment, National News, and for the first time, National Entertainment and National Business news.
Everything else, you’ll find under the headings at the top of the page.
Under the Columns heading, you’ll find opinion pieces by great local writers like wine columnist, Vin Greco, sports columnist Tim Wilcox and movie aficionado Rob Slack.
Looking for Obituaries? You can find them under the Announcements tab at the top, where you will also find Births and Careers.
Lottery Results, Daily Horoscopes, Crosswords? They’re under the Entertainment tab
Weather, Police Beats and Webcams? They’re under the Local tab.
Under the Shop Local tab you’ll find things like Real Estate, Flyers, Used Vehicles, and the Sault Wedding Planner.
For those of you who buy and sell on our Classified section, you’ll see we’ve changed that as well to make it simpler to use and much easier to navigate.
The posting rules have been simplified to reflect the changes and you can read the new rules here.
The new site also brings major improvements for mobile users.
Everything you find on the main site is now available on your smartphone and tablet, including the ability to post and respond to classified ads.
We urge you to explore the tabs along the top of the page to find the same great content that has kept you coming back to SooToday for years.
