Colder air is heading our way this weekend and will remain in place for much of next week

Just as we've grown used to the unusually warm weather this winter and given in to an early start to spring - Mother Nature decides to give us a reality check.

Colder air is heading our way this weekend and will remain in place for much of next week.  We can expect temperatures to fall a degree or two below normal for mid-March and struggle to reach the freezing mark each day starting on Sunday.

Friday will be sunny with daytime highs of +7°C. A northwest breeze will make it feel a couple of degrees cooler. Clouds move into the region during the evening and overnight.

Saturday will be mainly cloudy with light wet snow or showers in the morning and then again later in the day. In between, daytime highs should reach +6°C with strong westerly winds and brief periods of sun.

A few flurries are possible on Sunday. The rest of the day will be cloudy, and temperatures will only reach +1°C. Gusty northwest winds will make it feel more like -1.
