An Alberta Clipper will rush across the Great Lakes on Friday and bring another significant dump of snow to the Sault region. The Clipper will also help pull colder air back into the region, as temperatures will fall 5-10 degrees colder than normal for this weekend, with even colder windchill values.
Colder air and 20-25cm of blowing snow will arrive Friday, starting in the morning and end in the evening. Thanks to gusty east winds, daytime highs will drop to -2°C, with windchill values near -10.
Sunshine arrives Saturday morning, but clouds arrive in the afternoon as temperatures struggle to reach -12°C. A northerly wind will bring windchill values below -20.
Sunday brings a mix of sun and clouds, with daytime highs of -3°C. Temperatures slowly warm up, and there is a risk of another storm on Wednesday.
