A fast-moving low-pressure system will move across the Sault region early this weekend, bringing a brief shot of heat and snow. Later this weekend, in the wake of this system, much colder air will arrive, with the risk of snowsqualls. The frigid airmass could hang on for much of next week.
Friday will be cloudy, with gusty southerly winds that help push daytime highs to +2°C. A few centimetres of light snow are likely this afternoon and early this evening.
Saturday will be mostly cloudy, with scattered snow squalls and a cold northwesterly wind that will drop afternoon temperatures to -6°C.
Sunday will be partly cloudy with morning lows near -20°C and then a chance for light snow later in the day after daytime highs only reach -14°C.
