A residential fire on Spruce Street over the weekend remains under investigation after fire crews responded to the scene Saturday afternoon.
Sault Ste. Marie Fire Services says the fire started shortly after noon Saturday. Smoke and flames were visible at the home, which was in the 0-100 block of Spruce, when firefighters arrived on scene.
There was significant damage to the residence, but no injuries were reported.
Red Cross was called in to assist with displaced tenants while PUC and Enbridge gas also were on scene.
