A Wawa woman is charged with two counts of uttering threats after a disturbance outside a local residence Sunday afternoon.

In a news release, the Ontario Provincial Police say officers with the Superior East detachment were dispatched to Hillcrest Avenue shortly after 4 p.m. on Aug. 6.

Katie Gipson, 35, was arrested and charged with two counts of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm. She was released from custody and is scheduled back in court on Sept. 11.
