St. Vincent Place’s annual Coldest Night of the Year event is coming up fast, and organizers say they would love to see more people out walking with them on Feb. 25.
Participants will join hundreds of walkers in the Sault and thousands across Canada as they come together to walk and raise funds for St. Vincent Place’s programs that support those in need, the organization said in a news release.
St. Vincent Place says it is excited to be able to see walkers again in person this year, including welcoming them inside for a post-walk chili and warm-up.
This year’s goal is to raise $100,000, but organizers say they need the public’s help to hit it.
You can sign up today to join them at cnoy.org/saultstemarie. Interested walkers can gather a group of friends, coworkers, or family and sign up a new team, or raise funds and walk on their own.
Anyone who raises at least $150 (or $75 for youth) will receive a signature CNOY tuque.
St. Vincent Place is thanking local businesses that have signed up so far as event sponsors: S&T Group (lead sponsor), RM Frolich, JD Aero, Dawson & Keenan, and Savoy’s Jewellers.
