The Soo Finnish Nordic Ski Club will be holding its annual ski swap from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 18 at The Water Tower Inn.
The annual event is an opportunity for cross-country skiers to sell used equipment and purchase gear. Sale of cross-country skis, boots, poles, snowshoes and outdoor clothing — in good condition — is by consignment.
Those interested in selling gear can drop it off at The Water Tower Inn’s rear entrance from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 17. The price of items can be determined during the drop off on Friday evening.
In an effort to speed up the gear drop off process, those selling equipment are encouraged to download, print and complete the Consignee Equipment Registration Form 2023 ahead of time.
The form can be filled out at home ahead of time and brought to The Water Tower Inn along with your gear.
Unsold items and any money owing to the consignee can be picked up on Saturday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Following on the success of last year’s swap, the club will be expanding to include outdoor clothing that hikers wear as well as bicycles. Bikes must be in good condition. Department store bicycles will not be accepted.
A portion of the money raised from each sale made at the annual swap goes to supporting the Soo Finnish Nordic race team. Donated items are welcome. All donated items go directly to the race team.
Hiawatha Highlands trail passes, Soo Finnish Nordic Ski Club memberships and swag will also be available at The Water Tower Inn on the day of the swap.
