They tell us that the road has been covered in water since last evening.

6:20 p.m. road closure update
Sault Ste. Marie OPP advises that Pineshores Road has now been re-opened to traffic.
Olar Subdivision remains closed at this time.
Goulais River Fire Service and Sault Search and Rescue remain on scene.

Original 3:30 p.m. advisory - Road closure due to flooding
Sault Ste. Marie OPP is advising of the following road closure due to flooding in the Goulais River area.
Members from Goulais River Fire Service, MNR and Sault Search and Rescue are currently on scene at Pineshores Road and Olar Subdivision.
Additional flooding is also occurring in the 1400 block of Pineshores Road.
MTO barricades have been erected in the area and residents will not be able to access the 1400 block of Pineshores Road and beyond.
Conditions are changing rapidly and additional closures may take place.
If you are not a resident you are urged not to use Pineshores Road until further notice.
