The 2019 Ontario Cup Championships will see more than 30 U17 basketball teams competing throughout the course of the weekend.
This year's tournament landed in Sault Ste. Marie after the Steel City Slam and Tourism Sault Ste. Marie worked together to bring the event to the lock city.
Steel City Orange, Steel City East and the Algoma Jr Thunderbirds are representing Sault Ste. Marie over the course of the three-day event, which began Friday evening.
All four local high schools are being used for the Ontario Cup, which wraps up with the championship games Sunday afternoon.
