Sault Ste. Marie Fire Services responded to a semi-truck fire on Black Road on Friday night.

A semi-truck fire broke out on Black Road Friday at approximately 6:20 p.m. in the lot neighbouring Clarence’s Small Engines.

“I work across the road and I saw the smoke so I came flying over,” said Cody Gregory, an employee at Pine Ridge Services.

Other employees acted fast, moving a nearby truck out of harm's way.

“We probably saved that other truck’s life,” Gregory said.

No one was inside the burning vehicle and no one was injured.

The Sault Ste. Marie Fire Services responded to the incident.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
