TikTok for seniors? This local program is the place to start

Superior Adult Learning is once again offering free digital skills training for seniors, including how to use email, video chat and be more savvy with online security

Superior Adult Learning's "Digital Skills for Seniors" service is accepting new clients.

The free service is open to people aged 55 and up who are interested in learning practical skills to increase their independence and connect with family and friends digitally.

In-person and online opportunities are available on a variety of topics, including:

  • how to use smartphones
  • email basics
  • using video chat
  • online security
  • completing online forms
  • introduction to social media

"Improving digital skills can help many seniors reduce social isolation, improve their independence and increase their engagement in our community,” said Martin Wyant, executive director of Superior Adult Learning.

All services are free and tutoring will occur in Superior Adult Learning’s offices on Queen Street East. Sessions will be based on the individual learning goals of each participant.
