Three new cases of COVID-19 confirmed in the Sault: APH

Currently 49 active cases, two hospitalizations in the region

Algoma Public Health has reported three new cases of COVID-19, all from the Sault Ste. Marie area.

Case No. 551, tested on Nov. 2, and cases 552 and 553, tested on Nov. 3, are all classified as close contact, meaning they were exposed to COVID-19 through contact from another known case. 

All three individuals are currently self-isolating. 

These cases bring the total number to 553 since the start of the pandemic.

There are currently 49 active cases in the Algoma region and two hospitalizations.

Algoma regions with COVID-19 cases reported in the past 14 days include:

  • Sault Ste. Marie and area
  • North Algoma
