TVOKids Don't Sit Still Tour

January 14, 2004 - The popular TVOKids hosts continue to enliven and entertain families throughout Ontario with the energetic Don't Sit Still Tour powered by Scotiabank.

Gisele (shown) and Julie are coming to Blind River and Sault Ste. Marie on January 31 and February 1, 2004.

The Don't Sit Still Tour is a highly successful 45-minute stage show that promotes physical activity as an essential part of maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

The tour's theme - getting active - captures Scotiabank's commitment to providing communities with educational and creative programs about healthy living.

Gisele Corinthios, the dynamic host of TVOKids Preschool Mornings and great friend of Polkaroo, is anticipating the upcoming DSS Tour.

"We are really looking forward to bringing our new dance moves and the message of healthy living," said Gisele Corinthios.

"The DSS Tour is a great way for us to see our young fans and to visit new places."

A native of Montreal, Gisele enjoyed exploring different cultures as a student of anthropology at University of Toronto and she brings her joy of discovery to every show.

Julie Patterson, TVOKids Afterschool host in the Crawlspace (weekdays from 3:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.) enjoys inspiring children with new skills and understands the importance of being active.

"It is so exciting to visit different parts of the province and to see the kids combining fun and fitness."

A great lover of sports, Julie is hoping to try dogsledding and snowmobiling while in the area.

This show is an innovative vehicle for entertaining and educating families.

"The TVO Kids Don't Sit Still Tour powered by Scotiabank confirms TVOntario's commitment to providing the province of Ontario with stimulating and educational content based on the Ontario educational curriculum" said Pat Ellingson, Creative Head of Children's and Daytime Programming at TVO.
