The Queen's Tarts gets some federal attention

The popular Sault bakery is closed while it participates in the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair

As the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair continues this week in Toronto, Northern Ontario businesses are getting a chance to show off their products.

That includes The Queen’s Tarts from downtown Sault Ste. Marie — one of 45 businesses and organizations featured in the event's Northern Ontario Agri-Food Pavilion, which is sponsored FedNor, the Federal Economic Development Agency for Northern Ontario.

FedNor emailed SooToday some photos of its president, Valerie Gideon, chatting about "the importance of local food providers" with owner Aaron Craig.

The Queen’s Tarts will remain closed during the fair but will re-open on Saturday, November 18.
