Aaron Lucas is calling it a miracle.
As reported earlier by SooToday, Lucas, a Tenaris employee and musician, was shocked to find five of his guitars stolen from the garage of his west end home Dec. 30.
However, there is a happy ending.
Lucas found the guitars had been mysteriously returned to his garage Jan. 1.
“I went back out to my garage and they were all lined up there. I don’t know who did it,” Lucas told SooToday Friday.
The guitars had not been merely dumped on the floor or a bench, but back on their racks, Lucas said.
“I was absolutely elated and I’m mystified at the same time.”
“Whoever returned them wants to remain anonymous because I haven’t heard anything, no one’s contacted me about it.”
“It’s a good story with a good ending, but there’s no hero,” Lucas laughed.
The guitars, Lucas said, are undamaged, apart from some broken strings.
Lucas had informed police of the crime and put out a request for help on social media.
Lucas said he feels the person(s) who took the guitars returned them, perhaps as a result of a guilty conscience.
“I’m extremely grateful to this whole town. The whole city got behind me on this,” Lucas said, referring to the support he has received through social media, phone calls and texts.
“It’s a miracle. The guitars are irreplaceable, they are unique. You can’t buy that.”
