The first half of the program will feature violinist Erica Mancuso, a graduate from the Glenn Gould School, and a Conservatory faculty member, performing The Lark Ascending by Vaughan Williams - one of the most beautiful compositions in the classical repertoire - as well as the captivating work - Arvo Pärt’s Fratres.
She will be supported by some of our community's finest musicians: Jennifer Loo - piano, Victoria Jones and Kim Bell - violins, Vincent Feletti - viola, Rebekka Fry - cello, and Martin Virta - string bass, a release from the Algoma Conservatory said.
After intermission the Josh Norling Quartet will be featured (Josh Norling - Saxophone, Frank Deresti - Bass, Lindsay Pugh - Guitar, and Cliff Alloy - Drums) with American Songbook classics and some of Norling’s original compositions. Norling is also a Conservatory faculty member.
