Once again, you rose to the challenge, Sault Ste. Marie!

Yesterday, Don Robert and Michelle Furgiuele didn't know how they were going to pull off this year's annual Bear Your Heart/Feed the Hungry event at Sault College's Outback.

After SooToday.com and other local media publicized their predicament, Saultites came up with transportation and everything else needed to make sure this yeay's event goes as planned on Christmas Day.

Robert says he got 300 phone calls offering support.

Union Cab, 7500 Taxi and Laidlaw Bus Lines have stepped forward to help transport people to and from the Christmas dinner and Robert indicates he now has all the drivers he needs.

Except for those wishing to donate to the event, everything has now been covered, he says.

"The response is overwhelming and we greatly appreciate all the support we have received. We are happy to report that all volunteer positions - drivers and Christmas Day helpers have been filled."
