10:12 a.m. update: a Station Mall guest services employee says the mall is now open for business, but offered no further comment about the cause of the temporary closure.
A post on a local Facebook group made at 9:36 a.m. said people were being turned away at the door because there was no running water.
In an email, PUC manager of corporate communications Jairus Patterson confirmed there was work being done.
"There was a planned water outage this morning from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the request of the property owner," he said.
