ONTARIO LAW ENFORCEMENT AND TORCH RUN
*************************
The Ontario Law Enforcement and Torch Run has partnered with Mac’s and Circle K convenience stores across the province of Ontario for a province wide fundraising campaign, ‘Change For Champions’ in support of the athletes of Special Olympics Ontario. This campaign will run through the entire month of July 2018 all across Ontario with approximately 750 Mac’s and Circle K stores participating. Customers will be asked to donate any denomination of change from their purchase to the Champions of Special Olympics utilizing a Price Look Up code (PLU#4977) at all cash registers.
Special Olympics 50th Anniversary
Special Olympics Ontario is dedicated to enriching the lives of Ontarians living in our communities with an intellectual disability through a life of sport. Over the past 49 years Special Olympics has grown from a modest program serving local athletes to becoming the world’s largest movement dedicated to promoting respect, acceptance, inclusion, human dignity, and celebrating the abilities of all athletes through participation in sports.
Challenge for Cheque Presentation
The Mac’s/Circle K store community with the highest grossing donations in the province will host the Provincial Cheque presentation for Special Olympics Ontario. Law enforcement in that community will be invited to collect the donation cheque on behalf of Special Olympics Ontario.
#ChallengeAccepted
During the month of July 2018, please actively engage your social media by using #ChallengeAccepted and #ChangeForChampions to support the athletes of Special Olympics Ontario; with the help of your local community and support from your local Mac’s/Circle K stores, we can make this 50th Anniversary a great year for Special Olympics Ontario.
