The Runway Park 300 (MIRA Ice Oval) could not have had better weather or track conditions than it did this past weekend.
More than 100 sleds competed on the four-lane 660-foot oval track and the leaders will be chalking up some points on the Midwest International Racing Association (MIRA) standings after a superb weekend of sledding.
Other races in the MIRA series have been cancelled or postponed due to poor track conditions and weather problems, so teams were very happy to get to race at Runway Park, said George Boyd, MIRA president.
This coming weekend, Runway Park will host the ISR World Series of Ice Drags.
