Single vehicle collision results in impaired driving charges

On February 28, 2016 at 2:20 a.m. officers were called to a single motor vehicle collision in front of 458 Queen Street East.  

On arrival officers found a Dodge Caliber with severe damage to it.

After a short investigation the driver of the vehicle 23-year-old Greg Gagnon of St Basils Drive was located in the area suffering non-life threatening injuries.

It is alleged the accused was operating the motor vehicle impaired when he was involved in the accident then attempted to flee the scene.

Once arrested the accused refused to provide a breath sample.

The accused has been charged with impaired operation of a vehicle, failing to remain at an accident and refusing to provide a breath sample.

The accused will appear in court on April 4.
