Significant rainfall expected tonight: Environment Canada

Environment Canada is calling for heavy rainfall in areas north and east of the Sault.

The weather agency has released a special weather statement for Agawa - Lake Superior Provincial Park, further north to Wawa - Pukaskwa National Park, White River- Dubreuilville and east between Espanola - Killarney and Manitoulin Island.

Environment Canada says 30 to 50 mm of rain are expected by Wednesday afternoon, and heavier rainfalls in excess of 50 mm are possible.
