One of the many impacts of the Canada Post strike could be not paying your bills on time.
PUC Services says one way to avoid this is to sign up for e-billing.
And as an extra incentive, for every customer who makes the switch between now and Dec. 8, the utility will donate $20 to Christmas Cheer.
“The quick and easy process takes only a few minutes to complete,” PUC said in a news release.
This can be done either through the Customer Connect Portal or the MyPUC app.
Those who choose the app can also use it to track daily energy consumption, stay informed about power outages and get personalized tips to help save on their energy bill.
Customers can also set up pre-authorized payments, or an equalized payment plan to spread payments out evenly throughout the year.
Those who wish to pay by cheque are asked to avoid dropping the payment in the mail, but instead use the drop-off box at 500 Second Line East.
“While we work through this disruption, we encourage customers to stay informed of their account balances and avoid potential late fees or interruption,” said PUC in a news release.
