Member of Parliament, Terry Sheehan, spoke in the House of Commons today to pay tribute to Dr. Roberta Bondar.

“Today, I spoke in the House to honour my fellow Saultite, Dr. Roberta Bondar. Yesterday, Jan. 30, marked the final day of the recently proclaimed 'Dr. Roberta Bondar Days.' Dr. Bondar has had an influential career as a medical doctor, scientist, author, photographer, and Canada’s first woman in space,” said Sheehan.

Sheehan was pleased that Dr. Bondar was available to attend the address, in-person, today in the House of Commons.

“The year 2017 marks the 25th anniversary of Dr. Bondar’s historic Space flight. Her remarkable career inspires Canadians of all ages and genders from coast to coast to coast to continually reach for the stars. I was proud to acknowledge Dr. Bondar’s groundbreaking career by speaking in the House,” concluded Sheehan.
