Severe thunderstorm warning ended for:
Sault Ste. Marie - St. Joseph Island
Current details:
At 5:00 p.m. EDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing up to nickel size hail.
This severe thunderstorm is located near Trotter Lake, moving northeast at 40 km/h.
Hazard: Nickel size hail.
Locations impacted include:
Wahbunose Lake, Trotter Lake, Paddy Lake, Lilypad Lake and Echo Lake.
Large hail can damage property and cause injury.
Take cover immediately, if threatening weather approaches. Lightning kills and injures Canadians every year. Remember, when thunder roars, go indoors!
Emergency Management Ontario recommends that you take cover immediately if threatening weather approaches.
Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are likely to produce or are producing one or more of the following: large hail, damaging winds, torrential rainfall.

Severe thunderstorm warning issued for:
Sault Ste. Marie - St. Joseph Island
Current details:
At 2:53 p.m. EDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing very strong wind gusts, up to nickel size hail and heavy rain.
This severe thunderstorm is located five kilometres west of St. Joseph Island, moving northeast at 60 km/h.
Hazard:
Nickel size hail.
Locations impacted include:
St. Joseph Island, Lake George, Neebish, Echo Bay, Bar River, MacLennan, McCluskie Lake, Desbarats Lake, Bog Lake and Gibboney Lake.
Large hail can damage property and cause injury.
