Several walk-up COVID vaccination clinics happening in the Sault area

More than 80 per cent of eligible Algoma residents are fully vaccinated, says APH

A number of walk-in COVID-19 vaccination clinics are happening in the Sault Ste. Marie area over the next few weeks.

Appointments are not necessary to attend the following clinics:

Sept. 28
Central Algoma Secondary School - 3:30 to 7 p.m.
32 Kensington Rd., Desbarats

Sept. 29
Sault Ste. Marie Public Works - 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
128 Sackville Rd.

Oct. 1
Wellington Square Mall parking lot - 12 to 3 p.m.
625 Trunk Rd.

Kina Awiiya High School (previously known as Etienne Brule) - 1 to 4 p.m.
241 Albert St. West  

Oct. 5
Prince Township Municipal Office Hall - 3 to 6 p.m.
3042 Second Line West

Oct. 13
GFL Memorial Gardens - 5 to 8 p.m.
269 Queen St. East

Oct. 15
GFL Memorial Gardens - 1 to 4 p.m.

As of last Friday, Algoma Public Health (APH) is reporting that 170,362 total vaccine doses have been administered throughout Algoma.

The number of Algoma residents who have received at least one dose is 88,177 (or 86.5 per cent of the eligible population) and the number who are fully vaccinated is 81,744 (80.2 per cent).

APH is currently reporting 10 active cases of COVID-19 in the region.
