Sault Symphony set to host first in-person concert since 2020

The Sault Symphony Orchestra is set to host their first in-person concert since 2020, a news release issued today stated.

Mozart at the Movies will be held on May 15 at the Bushplane Heritage Centre. This movie-themed concert will feature music from Game of ThronesSchindler's List and Amadeus.

The Sault Symphony Orchestra is very excited to invite the community to attend its first in-person orchestral concert since the start of the pandemic.

Join us at the Bushplane Heritage Centre at 7:00 pm on May 15 for Mozart at the Movies. This concert will feature a variety of favourites from film and television, such as Game of Thrones, Schindler’s List, and Amadeus. Under the direction of the SSO’s new Artistic Director, Stephen Mallinger, you’ll get to enjoy the beautiful music of the largest ensemble of SSO players since 2020.

To round out your “movies” experience, refreshments will be available for purchase, including popcorn from Cornucopia Gourmet Popcorn.

Only 300 tickets will be sold, so be sure to buy yours today by heading to the SSO website at www.saultsymphony.ca.

Parents are invited to bring their children up to 10 years of age to our BYO-Baby Kids Concert on May 14 at 2:30 pm at Precious Blood Cathedral. Children will get to enjoy a portion of the Mozart at the Movies concert, Q&A session with our conductor and musicians, and great opportunities to channel their inner artist. Admission to the kids concert is by donation at the door, with no minimum donation.
