Sault Search and Rescue is urging you to get ready to "summon your Halloween spirit" as the organization presents its highly anticipated annual Haunted Maze for two evenings in October.

For 2024, organizers are promising an "all-new spine-chilling experience that’s perfect for thrill-seekers of all ages," according to a release.

This year’s Haunted Maze will take place at the Sault Search and Rescue Building at 246 Industrial Park Cres., and will be open to the public on Oct. 25 and 26 from 5 to 9 p.m.

Event highlights include two experiences.

  1. Sensory-Friendly Experience: From 5 to 6:30 p.m., the Haunted Maze will feature a sensory-friendly version with the lights on, making it an ideal option for younger visitors or those who prefer a less intense experience.
  2. Sensory-Friendly Experience: After a 30-minute changeover, the maze will reopen from 7 to 9 p.m. for a "truly spine-tingling, fully haunted adventure!"

For admission, cash donations are "encouraged and greatly appreciated", Sault Search and Rescue said.

All proceeds will support Sault Search and Rescue in maintaining essential training, equipment, and maintenance, ensuring it remains prepared to serve the community effectively.

Come out and enjoy a night of spooky fun while supporting a great cause!
