Algoma residents 55+ will soon be able to book vaccination clinics at local pharmacies.
The province announced today that nearly 380 additional pharmacies will start offering the AstraZeneca vaccine.
Starting on March 22, 327 pharmacies were selected in Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox and Addington, Toronto, and Windsor-Essex County to offer the AstraZeneca vaccine for eligible people 60+.
This morning, the province released more locations that will be offering the AstraZeneca vaccine to individuals aged 55+ as early as Saturday, April 3.
In a press release issued today, the province noted it is still working with primary care professionals to offer vaccinations in care settings and community locations, such as physician offices. According to the province, this initiative is expanding from locations in six public health unit regions to offering the vaccine in every region across the province covering all 34 public health units.
"Additional pharmacies and primary care settings will continue to join and increase access points for vaccine across the province," the release says.
