Sault College is continuously looking for opportunities to meet the needs of today’s learners. To complement this, three new online certificate programs – Addictions and Mental Health Studies, Children’s Mental Health, and Nephrology Nursing – are now being offered and registration for the upcoming May session begins today! Register today by calling 705-759-6700 option 3!

Each of these new exclusively online programs target specific areas that can benefit learners with a wide array of backgrounds.

  • Addictions and Mental Health Studies Certificate will explore the complexities of mental illness, the link to addictions, and the needs of a diverse population. Learners will gain the relevant knowledge and practical skills needed to effectively work with populations who may have mental health and addictions issues.
  • Children’s Mental Health Certificate will give learners the relevant knowledge and skills to effectively work with infants, children, and adolescents who have mental health challenges.
  • Nephrology Nursing Certificate will provide nurses with the knowledge they require to promote and deliver competent, safe and ethical care to those at risk for developing or affected by renal disease and/or insufficiency.

“Sault College’s E-Learning department is focused on developing online programming that is unique and diverse to appeal to a wide variety of learners,” said Rachel Hill, Program Manager, E-Learning. “These three new online programs complement many of our existing Sault College programs and were designed with specific learning outcomes in mind using existing OntarioLearn courses. Learners can take just one course or work towards completing an entire certificate program – it’s up to the learner. If one of these programs interest you, we encourage you to register today for a May start,” she added.

Each program offers a May, September, or January intake. To learn more about these and other online programming, visit or contact 705.759.2554 ext. 2612.
