Due to the significant snowfall, Sault Area Hospital is rescheduling appointments and surgeries on Friday to ensure the safety and well-being of both patients and staff, physicians and volunteers.
All non-urgent appointments and elective surgeries scheduled for today may be rescheduled.
Patients affected by these changes will be contacted directly by the hospital’s care team to arrange new appointment times and discuss alternative options where possible.
"Our top priority is always the health and safety of our patients," said Ila Watson, president and CEO.
"We understand that this may be an inconvenience, and we are committed to working closely with our patients to minimize disruptions and find new appointment times that are as convenient as possible."
If you have an appointment or surgery scheduled for today and have not yet been contacted, please be patient and await a call from an SAH Team Member. It will take the hospital time to reach all affected patients.
“We appreciate your understanding during this challenging weather event and thank you for your cooperation,” the news release said.
