Sixteen-month-old Santana Jackson was happy to show off her jingle dress today during the 16th annual Traditional Pow Wow hosted by the Sault College Native Student Council.

This is only the second pow wow for Santana and her adorable dress made especially for her by her great-auntie Eva Jackson.

Following the grand entry at noon today, the college gymnasium was jammed with a variety of traditional dancers, drummers, artwork, crafts and spectators.

The pow wow features host drum Bear Creek from Batchewana First Nation, co-host drum Anishinabek Ojibway group from Cutler, Mskou Zedah of Serpent River First Nation and head dancers Tracy Recollet and Wesley Kleland.

Food and refreshments are also available on site.

The celebration continues Sunday with a grand entry at noon.
