Ride for Autism rolls on this Saturday

The Algoma Ride for Autism is ready to roll for another year.

The annual event, which sees motorcycles from across the province make the trip to Sault Ste. Marie to help raise money for the Algoma Autism Foundation, runs on Saturday.

Registration begins Saturday morning at 10 a.m. at Highland Ford with the ride kicking off at 11:30 a.m.

There is a $25 minimum pledge for riders and a $10 minimum for passengers with alll money raised supporting the Algoma Autism Foundation.

Supporters and spectators can line Great Northern Road, south of Highland Ford to show their support for what's been dubbed 'The Tunnel of (happy) Tears.'

The ride will travel through Garden River, Echo Bay, past the St. Joseph Island turnoff and through Desbarats before returning to the Sault and wrapping up at the Esquire Club where there will be live music.

Mustang Heart will be performing and there will be givaways and prizes including a generator, a BBQ, or a 55in TV.
